The Class 2 License course covers a Heavy Rigid Vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) of between 6,000kg to 18,000kg, or combination vehicle Gross Combination Mass (GCM) of between 6,000kg to 12,000kg.

Course Prerequisites

• You must hold a Full Class 1 Driver License for a minimum of 6 months
• You will need to obtain your Class 2 Learners at the AA prior to coming on this course. You will need to complete a DL9 medical with your GP first, which you then take the certificate to the AA to sit your Class 2L. (Please call for more information).

Day 1:

Logbook and Fatigue Course – US24089

Class 2 Theory – US17574, covering loading restraints, axel weights, vehicle handling, and much more.

Day 2:

Assessment Drive

Please note: depending on numbers we will always try to have everyone through by the end of the second day but this may spill over into a third day for the drive component.

Course Costs

Class 2 theory course and practical $775 plus gst
Logbook and fatigue course (compulsary for class 2) $325 plus gst.

Truck Hire (if needed) - $325 plus GST.

All courses are non-refundable once commenced.

Credits for unit standards will be reported to NZQA through the MITO Business Division of Te Pūkenga Work Based Learning Limited in the approved capacity as a MITO Registered Independent Assessor.
