Drive It - New Plymouth will be following the protocols of the Covid 19 Protection Framework (Traffic Light System).

Our protocols for all trainees under “Orange” Traffic Light System (Effective from 13/04/2022)

• Vaccines will not be mandatory; however, masks will be mandatory inside the training venue at all times.
• A register of trainees will be kept by Drive It in the event of a covid 19 case and contact tracing can begin immediately.
• Where practicable, a 1m distance from others should be observed whilst in the training facility.
• Masks will be mandatory inside the cab for all drive assessments.
• If hiring a vehicle from Drive It for your drive assessment, the cab will be wiped down/sanitized in between students.
• You will be asked to provide your own food and drinks to the course.
• Please do not come to the course if you have any signs of illness (cough, sore throat, sniffles etc.), or have been caring for someone who is or has been unwell. We will reschedule you as soon as possible to another date.
• If we feel that you are showing signs or symptoms of covid whilst attending the course, you will be required to discontinue on the course and given the opportunity to return on another course.
• You will be asked to provide your own food and drinks to the course.
• Please do not come to the course if you have any signs of illness (cough, sore throat, sniffles etc.), or have been caring for someone who is or has been unwell. We will reschedule you as soon as possible to another date.
• The best way to combat the virus is to regularly practice personal hygiene. Regularly wash your hands, cough into your elbow or a tissue and cover your nose and mouth when you sneeze.

Drive It has adopted these protocols for all our courses to be able to better protect ourselves, our livelihood and fellow students who attend our courses. Please think about the staff and your fellow students during this time and stay home if unwell.

Some of these conditions will be subject to change if we move into the “Green” Traffic Light System.
